Henry Louis Gates Jr: Taking Education in a New Direction

Tuesday August 19, 2008
Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., creator of PBS’ successful show “African American Lives,” has a new idea that could take high school history and science curricula in an entirely new direction. What a super idea. The sooner kids are helped to realize our human interconnectedness through DNA, the sooner they’ll move past racism and get on with improving the world for us all.
